EireaNet firmly believes that information security is vital to business success. As such, adherence to the guidelines listed below is crucial to EireaNet’s ability to protect its company and client data. Violators of this policy will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

In addition, EireaNet deems this policy applicable to third parties that have a contractual relationship with EireaNet, have access to EireaNet systems or technology, and who are not EireaNet employees. Any violation of this policy by such persons will be deemed a material breach of their engagements with EireaNet.

In order to facilitate communications and engender successful business operations, EireaNet owns, operates, and maintains a number of technology resources. Such resources include information services, including but not limited to, electronic mail (e-mail), wireline and wireless telephones, voice mail, databases, internet/intranet access, and fax, file, and print services. EireaNet also owns or leases and operates and maintains computer equipment, including, but not limited to, personal computers, portable computer devices, network servers, fixed and portable internet/intranet and e-mail access devices, and peripheral equipment such as disk drives, printers, modems, fax machines, and copiers.

All of EireaNet’s technology resources, regardless of physical location or whether leased, rented or purchased by EireaNet, are the property of EireaNet, as is the information created, stored, or transmitted using such resources, including documents, databases, discs, CD-Roms, e-
mails, voice mails, and information obtained, downloaded, or disseminated through the
internet or intranet. Employees should not assume any right to personal privacy or confidentiality with respect to their use of EireaNet technology resources, or any materials, data, information or communications created, received, or viewed when using these resources, regardless of whether the employee considers the information personal in nature, has protected it by a password or other device, or accesses the resources off-site or during personal time.

EireaNet does not wish to examine personal information of its employees. However, EireaNet reserves the right to access, monitor, copy, delete, disclose, or demand return of, technology resources, and all documents, e-mails, databases, voicemail, data, information, websites, and all communications created or viewed using technology resources, as well as work areas without notice, to the extent permitted by applicable law. EireaNet further reserves the right to examine information included in such communication and sent by an employee on EireaNet equipment or through EireaNet systems, notwithstanding the employee’s expectation that such communication was confidential or private.

In order to determine compliance with its policies, for purposes of legal proceedings, to investigate misconduct, locate information, or for any other business purpose, EireaNet may direct its Company officers, employee’s supervisor, or other employees at the direction of a company officer, to access, monitor, block, and act on any message or communication or data created or viewed using EireaNet technology resource at any time, including incoming and outgoing mail, telephone calls, and technical data and content. Additionally, the Information Technology Group routinely monitors technology resources and employee use of those resources for health, performance and security purposes. In the course of this routine monitoring activity and while providing technical support, the contents of messages, communications, or data in any system may be visible to the Information Technology Group staff. In the event of a virus outbreak, denial of service attack or related emergency, Information Technology Group staff may have to block or delete messages, communications or data in order to protect EireaNet assets.

Because EireaNet periodically backs up all files and messages, and because of the way in which computers re-use file storage space, files and messages may exist that are thought to have been deleted or erased. All employees therefore should understand that e-mail messages and other computer files may be electronically recalled or recreated regardless of whether the employee has ”deleted” or ”erased” them. Employees should not attempt to retrieve or view messages, communications or data to which they have not been explicitly granted access. Employees wishing to gain access to supplementary data must first acquire permission from a supervisor or company officer and then submit a written or email request to Technical Support.

EireaNet technology resources may not be used to transmit unsolicited commercial e-mail (“spam”), or to access, copy, save, transmit, display, print, or distribute software, messages, text, images, or other data (1) in a manner that is inconsistent with the licenses and copyrights of the vendors, authors, or owners of the material, or (2) that is harassing, derogatory, defamatory, obscene, or offensive, including material that is sexually explicit or disparaging of others based upon their race, national origin, sex, disability, sexual orientation, age, religion, or political beliefs.

Employees must follow antivirus guidelines to prevent the spread of viruses within the EireaNet network. No unapproved software should be loaded on any EireaNet resources, and all loaded software should be properly licensed in advance of being loaded on any EireaNet resource. Any software currently not on the EireaNet approved list, must be approved by IT before being loaded. No unauthorized devices, including employees’ personal computing equipment, may be attached to the EireaNet network.

Incidental personal use of technology resources (including the telephone) is permissible so long as the usage does not interfere with job performance, does not deny others access to the system resources, does not incur significant costs, is not done for pecuniary gain, does not conflict with EireaNet’s business, and does not violate any EireaNet policy. However, employees are strongly encouraged to carry out internet and e-mail activities not related to work off-site, using personal computer equipment, an outside service provider, and personal e-mail account. Employees may not remove computer equipment from EireaNet facilities without authorization.

Every 90 days, employees must choose a new network password complex enough so that others cannot guess it. Furthermore, employees must not share their account details or otherwise reveal them to anyone else, and must turn off or otherwise prevent access to their computers when they are not at their stations.

Under no circumstances shall any employee of EireaNet run his/her own company at or through EireaNet. The use of EireaNet technology resources to conduct said business is strictly prohibited. All such enterprises shall be conducted completely off-site, without the use of any EireaNet property or resources, and shall not in any way be connected to or interfere with the normal operation of the Company.
